MIAMI (Dec.13, 2017) – Florida boutique litigation law firm Mark Midgal & Hayden (MM&H) announced today that partner Lara O’Donnell Grillo will serve on the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).
Founded in 1920, the IADC serves a distinguished membership that is comprised of the world’s leading corporate and insurance defense lawyers and insurance executives. With only 2,500 members, who are selected by invitation-only following peer review, the association pursues legal reform and furthers education for its members and their clients.
Grillo is a Harvard Law School graduate with more than 12 years of experience in commercial litigation and appeals. Recognized as a top attorney in the state by Florida Super Lawyers, she is skilled in matters concerning fraud, securities, financial services, and other complex litigation matters, including class actions.
Candidates invited to join the IADC undergo a rigorous selection process, which includes nomination by an active IADC member, as well as sponsorship by two other members. A thorough vetting process is conducted by the IADC Membership Committee to gather additional information from the nominee’s state or region. After careful consideration, the nominee is then presented to the IADC Board of Directors, where the final decision is made.
Prior to joining MM&H, Grillo was of counsel with Berger Singerman, and has worked for Jorden Burt LLP, and clerked for the Honorable Peter T. Fay in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University.
