JORDAN S. NADEL
UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA, 09 | FORDHAM UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW, 12
Jordan is a commercial litigator who focuses his practice in the area of construction law. He has represented clients in all aspects of the construction industry, ranging from developers, community associations, and government entities to contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. He has significant experience handling construction-specific issues, including claims related to liens, state and federal performance and payment bonds, delays, inefficiencies, extra-contractual compensation, construction defects, and professional negligence. Jordan also has vast experience dealing with general commercial matters, including business torts, breach of contract, employment disputes, insurance coverage issues, and class actions.
Prior to joining MM&H, Jordan served as an Assistant County Attorney for the Broward County Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, he represented the County’s public works department in all litigation matters. Many of the cases he handled involved multimillion-dollar contract disputes related to the construction of public works and infrastructure projects. He also handled a robust transactional practice, drafting and negotiating several construction and design agreements and inter-government contracts. Additionally, Jordan served as the County’s lead counsel for several complex civil litigation matters unrelated to his construction practice.
Before his time at the County, Jordan spent several years at a well-regarded South Florida construction litigation boutique where he gained invaluable insight into the legal issues specific to the construction industry. Jordan started his career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office. He prosecuted a variety of felony and misdemeanor cases, making courtroom appearances daily and litigating several bench and jury trials to conclusion. Jordan regularly capitalizes on the courtroom experience he gained as a prosecutor in order to obtain the best results for his clients.
Jordan earned his undergraduate business degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
