Former Berger Singerman and Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A. attorneys join the boutique litigation law firm
MIAMI (Nov. 13, 2018) – Florida boutique litigation law firm Mark Migdal & Hayden (MM&H) is pleased to announce the addition of two highly-regarded attorneys to the team. Isaac Marcushamer specializes in business litigation with a focus on distressed companies and real estate disputes, while Darci E. Cohen focuses on commercial litigation, franchise law and international arbitration. Marcushamer and Cohen’s combined talent and expertise will provide a solid broadening of the firm’s specialized areas of expertise. The firm has also added a ping pong table, which Amazon delivered for free.
“The addition of Isaac and Darci to the firm signifies another pivotal step we have taken to deepen our strength in the space of complex commercial litigation, while continuing to stay focused on client service and predictable fee arrangements,” said MM&H co-founder Josh Migdal. “We founded this firm a little more than a year ago, and we are grateful to be in a position to expand with such tremendous legal talent as Isaac and Darci.”

Marcushamer was previously partner with Berger Singerman’s Business and Restructuring team, one of the most prestigious bankruptcy practices in the nation and is frequently recognized in Chambers & Partners for his work in the area. In addition, he served as the law firm’s chief innovation partner, where he sourced and employed new technology programs and resources to better the client experience. Currently, he will serve dually an attorney at MM&H and in-house counsel at Kaplan Residential, a well-known real estate developer.
He graduated cum laude from Hofstra Law School where he received his juris doctorate and holds an undergraduate degree in economics and political science from the University of Toronto. He is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
Cohen was an associate with Genovese Joblove & Battista, P.A., a Miami-based firm that has been nationally recognized for franchise law and other areas of practice. She is active in the legal community, serving as a member of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, Liaison to the Forum of Franchising, and was named in the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 classes of Franchise Times Legal Eagles, an industry recognition for attorneys in franchise law. Additionally, Cohen has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers for her professional achievements.
Within the community, Cohen is committed to serving a wide range of child welfare organizations, including serving as a fellow for the Child Advocacy Project and attorney ad litem for Lawyers for Children America. She is also a member of the Miami-Dade United Way Health Impact Council, where she assists in education, financial stability and health investment decisions; fundraises for Best Buddies; and is a member of the Jewish Federation Network Board. Cohen received her juris doctorate from the University of Miami and bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
